Mark S. James, CPC  is the Founder and President of Hire Consulting Services, LLC with office locations in San Diego, CA and Cincinnati, OH.  He founded HCS in 1999 and has been providing executive recruiting and career coaching services for over 20 years.  HCS has strong alliances in many industry sectors in executive search, employee contracting and career coaching  throughout the United States.

Mark is a Certified Personnel Consultant, awarded to him in 1998 by NAPS, the National Association of Personnel Services. prior to starting HCS,  he served as Senior Vice President of recruiting for 4 years with The Angus Group, the oldest and one the most respected retained search firms in Cincinnati, OH.  In 2002, Mark formed an ongoing strategic partnership with Centennial, Inc., another respected Cincinnati search firm, where he created and developed a very successful career transition coaching practice for senior executives and professionals.  

During his early career spanning over 15 years, he held several sales and marketing management positions, including 7 years with the Agfa Photo Division of Bayer Corporation, in addition to Management Recruiters Int'l, Polaroid Corporation, Pepsi-Cola Bottling Group, The Gallo Winery and United Parcel Service. His passionate, hands-on leadership and communication style, coupled with his honesty, integrity and drive are the core foundation on which he has built successful business relationships with the many clients and companies he has served.

For the last 9 years, Mark has been the host and facilitator of the monthly ExecuNet Networking Meetings for executives in career transition in Cincinnati, San Diego and Irvine, Ca. He is also an online moderator and facilitator for ExecuNet's Networking Forum and the Consulting Executive Roundtable. Mark has served on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Professional Coaches Alliance for the last 3 years. He has a successful blog, Career Catalyst and been  published in several news articles, books and newsletters, conducted numerous seminars, career workshops and public speaking events.
